Punishment to rapists in the Islamic society

Great to know HOW rapists are punish in the Islamic societies as per their beliefs. It is worth going through to open our blocked mind and eyes about islamic community belief and practice to punish the rapists.
The facebook group "VAAT LAGAO (Dishum-Dishum 24x7)"that has members more than 7,700 created by an Indian guy named Drifter Tribe about 3 years ago posted "Saare Hindu Rapist Nahi Hote hain Lekin Har Rapist Hindu Kyon Hota hai??" which means "All Hindu are not Rapist, BUT WHY all rape incidents are done by Hindu?" by an Indian guy Mr. Dhurandar Bhatawdekar, Mechanical Engineer, Government of India Polytechnic Sholapur posted the question asking
Mr Rupak Sharma replied "Kyo ki Islam main rape hone per Kasoor Aurat ka hota hai.She has to bring four witnesses to prove her rape." In english it means "because in Islam any rape incident if take place blame goes to a woman. She has to bring four witness to prove her rape."
Then Faraz Ahmed Azmi responded him saying @Dear Rupak Sharma Bhai ji.
My respected brother,Almighty -Allah says: (Quran 4:15)"If any of your women are guilty of lewdness, Take the evidence of four (reliable) witnesses from amongst you against them; and if they testify, confine them to houses until death do claim them, or Allah ordain for them some (other) way."
(Quran 24:4)"And those who launch a charge against chaste women, and produce not four witnesses (to support their allegations)- flog them with eighty stripes; and reject their evidence ever after: for such men are wicked transgressors;-
(Quran 24:13)"Why did they not bring four witnesses to prove it? When they have not brought the witnesses, such men, in the sight of Allah, (stand forth) themselves as liars!"
Having mentioned above verses we would like to explain that if a woman is raped then it is not her sin if she is totally not willing it and afraid of Allah (do to reverence). The person who is raping will be sinful. In Islam, we are not allowed to tarnish the honor of anyone. One is required to produce four witnesses when making an allegation of adultery against another person; otherwise, one will be guilty of slandering. A raped woman is a victim that must be treated with honor and kindness. She is not required to produce four witnesses to prove the crime done against her, nor is she punished for the crime done against her.
If a person makes an allegation of adultery against another person (male or female) he or she must produce four witnesses to support such an allegation; otherwise, he or she is guilty of slandering, which is a grave offense in Islam, for we are not to tarnish the honor of anyone. A woman who has been raped cannot be asked to produce witnesses; her claim shall be accepted unless there are tangible grounds to prove otherwise. To insist that she provide witnesses is akin to inflicting further pain on her. If anyone refutes her claim of innocence, the onus is on him to provide evidence, and she may simply deny the claim by making a solemn oath, thus clearing herself in public. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,"The onus to provide evidence falls on the one who makes a claim, and the one who denies (the same) can absolve himself or herself by making a solemn oath to the contrary."As for a spouse who witnesses his or her partner committing adultery and the other party denies it and they are unable to provide witnesses, they are, if they so desire, to part company by repudiating each other by engaging in what is known as a solemn oath and prayer of curse (li`an). It is described thus in the Qur'an:"And those who accuse their wives, and have no witnesses but themselves, then the testimony of each of them shall be a testimony sworn by God repeated four times, that he is indeed truthful. And the fifth (oath) is that God's curse be upon him if he is lying. And it shall avert punishment from her that she testify a testimony repeated and sworn by God four times, that he is lying. And a fifth (oath) that the wrath of God be upon her, if he has spoken the truth"(An-Nur: 6-9).
Raped women are not punished in Islam. What punishment?! This is like saying that a person robbed of his property should be punished. Actually, this notion belongs to places where the law of the jungle is in operation. It's a fact that, to be absolved from guilt, the raped woman must have shown some sort of good conduct, in the sense that what befell her must be something beyond her control. This is where Islam excels. In dealing with a certain issue or addressing a certain problem, it brings forth a comprehensive panacea that uproots the problem and eliminates its causes. Rather than stipulating a temporary measure that will act as sedatives, Islam gets down to the root of the problem itself with the aim of uprooting entirely. It sets noble codes of conduct that should prevail in the society; it addresses women to maintain their modesty, as not to open the door for evils:"… be not too complacent of speech, lest one in whose heart is a disease should be moved with desire: but speak ye a speech (that is) just"(Surah 33 Verse 32). The above verse, despite addressing the wives of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, actually, in an implicit way calls upon Muslim women in general to preserve their dignity and modesty, just to save themselves from any harassment. This injunction sounds more explicit in the following verse:"O Prophet! Tell thy wives and daughters, and the believing women, that they should cast their outer garments over their persons (when abroad): that is most convenient, that they should be known (as such) and not molested. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful"(Surah 33 Verse 59).
This is Islam! As we have reiterated before, it does not hunt for crimes just to punish; rather, it works towards the means of blocking the avenues of crimes. Even when it punishes, it doesn't punish blindly; rather, it strikes the guilty hand. So, for a rape victim to be absolved from guilt, she must not be the one that opens her house for robbery and her dignity for deflowering. If, after trying her best to resist the attack, she gets overcome by the assailants, she is totally absolved from punishment. Muslim scholars are unanimous on this. They maintain that any woman, who, despite doing her utmost to resist these thugs and their ilk, is raped, is not guilty of any sin. This is since the situation is beyond her control, and anyone who is forced to do something is not guilty of sin. This is even in the case of disbelief, which is worse than zina (sex out of marriage), as Allah says:"… except him who is forced thereto and whose heart is at rest with faith…"(Surah16 Verse 106). The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said:"Allah has forgiven for my ummah for their mistakes, what they forget and what they are forced to do."

Nepal is one of the richest nations in the world

Whereever and whenever I read and hear about Nepal, I always find saying Nepal is one of the poorest nations in the world.

It is annoying to know that how capitalistic mindset driven people have been politically manipulating and incorrectly using the words to degrade others, washing innocent people brain to create the sense of POOR made by human actions. Poor and poverty are the conditions created by human actions. It is not nautral

We've heard that thword "Taliban" would be considered a repressive regime by virtually any measure by an Islamic fundamentalist political movement inAfghanistan and Pakistan. In fact, translated roughly, Taliban means "students" or "seekers of knowledge," though by now the term holds a much more loaded meaning to many around the globe [1]. A student of knowledge in Arabic/Urdu is known as a Talib-e-Ilm (Ilm =knowledge.) The word Taliban comes from this. They are essentially students of Islam.

About the man-made poverty I strongly agree with the statement made by Nelson Mandela, who said: “Overcoming poverty is not a task of charity, it is an act of justice. Like Slavery and Apartheid, poverty is not natural. It is man-made and it can be overcome and eradicated by the actions of human beings. Sometimes it falls on a generation to be great. YOU can be that great generation. Let your greatness blossom.”

As a Nepalese I strongly believe that Nepal is not a POOR nation!! However, we are made POOR by ill intentional, greedy, selfish, incompetent, power lusted and power-hungry so-called higher caste bourgeois rulers and politicians of the past and present.

Now it is high time to those people, who want to see Nepal prosperious and humankind nation to STOP saying, "Nepal is a POOR country" because if we keep repeating this same chorus, instilling inside our MIND then we never ever going to come out of such human-made crime, Poverty. As Aristotle said, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is a habit, not an act.”

If some Nepalese say "Nepal is a poor" then I feel sorry for them because they are too much ignorance about their own MOTHERLAND. How come Nepal can be a poor with so much natural and human resources!!!

Our MINDSET is POOR due to programmed by rulers, scholars, donors, media and schoolings.

We have to “Think and Grow Rich” as said By Napoleon Hill.

“Our minds become magnetized with the dominating thoughts we hold in our minds and these magnets attract to us the forces, the people, the circumstances of life which harmonize with the nature of our dominating thoughts.”
- Napolean Hil

Has anyone ever thought about HOW RICH our Nepal mother is! and WHATshe has been supplying abroad, even to the world economically powerful nations.

Here are some resources that Nepal has been supplying to the world.

- Large number of Human Resources to India, Arabic nations, Malaysia, Australia, USA, EU, etc

- Water, natural meditional herbs /resources to India

- YARSAGUMBA (Himalayan viagra) to China and else

- Rakta Chandan (RED SANDALWOOD) to India and China

- Please add more if you know others!!

For the world top most richest nation Qatar (ranked 1); top 3 richest nation, Singapore, top 5-Brunei, top 6-UAE, top 7-USA and top 8 Hong Kong Nepal has been supplying human resources [2]. Then, HOW come Nepal can be considered poor.

Every literate Nepalese must read this book "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill's 1936 original masterpiece [3]. The success principles from 3/4 of a century ago still apply today world in USA and else.

About the book "Think And Grow Rich" Sugat Kansakar in the facebook discussion affirmed that "Laxmiji is right. That book "Think & Grow Rich" is one of the best books for personal growth. I bought that book about 22 years back and read or refered numerous times. In fact, after practicing what is written in that book, I developed my leadership and managerial ability, which ultumately culmimated in my appointment as CEO of Nepal Telecom and became the longest serving CEO (4years 3 months). I, therefore, agree with Laxmiji and I also recommend the book for all, especially youths aspiring to achieve heights in any profession, business and even politics."

Moreover, we must understand that rich nation can't be always considered POWERFUL country. If that would be, then Qatar would be the MOST powerful nation in the world. For instance, Qatar GDP per capita as per 2009 estimation was $ 88,222 which is almost double nation USA (i.e. $ 46, 860) in the same year [4].

Do or Die: Be the Change you Want to See!!

"You must be the change you want to see in the world."-

- Mahatma Gandhi, Indian political and spiritual leader (1869 - 1948)

Very well said by Mahatma Gandhi. Without doing anything we can't see the world that we anticipate to see.  For this we've to make it happen, which we've been seeing across the globe. For example, to date no one has gave us things without asking except when we were baby or child. We've been eating and feeding ourselves. By the way, while talking about a baby or newborn without crying mother they hardly feed their babies. So, we've to understand and learn from the nature and from the past and present scientists, leaders, entreprenuers and great contributors to this world that we've to be the change that we want to see in our society and the world.

No one can imagine/think that a doctor can become a revolutionist or daku (in the eye of capitalistic).

Nepal needs a son like Che Guevara to fight against injustice, inequality and man-made poverty that we have in our nation.

We are born to die. Therefore, there is no reason to FEAR if we are fighting for the Cause, not for the applause.

Bhagvad Gita said,

"Why do you worry without cause?

Whom do you fear without reason?

Whatever happened in the past, it happened for the good; whatever is happening, is happening for the good; whatever shall happen in the future, shall happen for the good only. Do not weep for the past; do not worry for the future, concentrate on your present life."

So,

It means if there is a cause we need to WORRY.

If there is a reason no need to FEAR.

But at the same time it says, that happened in the past was for the good and whatever in present happening is also for the good for the reason.

BUT WONDER WHY our men would like to concentrate on the PAST (old outdated holy books thoughts and ideas that are not beneficial of humanity at present) rather than PRESENT situation as per the scientific development and evolution of this universe without worrying for the future.

Seems to date Nepal Mother has not born such a son in Nepal. Wonder WHY!!!

United we STAND, Divided we FALL!!!

Everyone knows that if we United we Stand and if Divided we Fall as said by Greek,  fabulist or story teller Aesop (c. 620–564 BC) "United we standdivided we fall."

We need to open our blocked mind to UNITE.
If we closed our mind then it is almost impossible to unite since our MIND has been under the control of 5 senses i.e. see (eyes), hear (ear), touch (skin), taste (tongue) and smell (nose). Therefore, we love to run after as per we see, hear, touch (feel), taste and smell.

Infact, these 5 senses should be controlled by our MIND. But it is not happening because we are NOT OPEN MINDED to learn and accept the FACTS/FIGURES and REALITY. Instead, we always like to oppose and defend and want to hide the TRUTH rather than doing an operation of bad things that we've in our societies and within us.

We do operation/surgery to remove body damage or infected parts. But we FEAR of doing surgery of societal belief and practices to construct or adjust our cultures, rituals and practices as per the development/ evolution of this world. Then HOW unity can be prevailed just saying by MOUTH or WORDs.

Sense of UNITY has to come within MIND that suppose to control our 5 senses! BUT we don't want and always love to run after 5 senses to control our MIND!

Application of Conspiracy Theory to take over Nepal

Early in the morning when I woke up someone has sent me this (below) message in my inbox. Then I shared on my facebook wall as well as in the group named "संघीयताको विषयमा खुल्ला बहस" which has more than 6500 members.

I posted with the message  Hope everyone is well informed about this kind of tactics for political captivity by ill intentional supportive nation.

We've a long disucssion on this posting thread participating youths from across the globe and almost everyone think that above remarks were 100% true.

One of the discussants no. 2 issue regarding 45 lakhs citizenship distribution to Indian in a bordering districts of Nepal had shared "Giri ja ko palo ma chahi ali ali thaha thiyo tin laakh 65 hajar vittrayako vaneko chahi suneko ho dd. Dairy ma tipeko cha tyo chahi."

Sunil Dangol Newah said "I want to add some point here. Ego Vs Pride: Choice of word to express our feelings

I don't know whether we, educated youths and people are using the word correctly or not.
Because generally we say,
I am Proud to be ..................(citizen/nationality).
I am Proud to be a ...............(religion).
I am Proud for.....................(other people achievement).
I am Proud to be a ............(caste/ethnicity)
Ego and pride are closely related concepts.
Ego is born in mind whereas pride is born in heart.

Ego is unhealthy pride. Ego is a stumbling block in developing healthy relationships with others.
Pride leads to humility while ego leads to arrogance.
Ego is a feeling of being superior to others. It originates in mind and has often no relation with reality. Ego in simple terms can be referred to as I, ME, and Myself. A person who is all the time thinking about himself has a larger ego than a person who is concerned about others as well.
Pride is a feeling of satisfaction arising from what one has done or achieved. It is a sense of accomplishment that is healthy and good for a person and motivates him to be doing better all the time. A person who takes pride in the quality of his work is never satisfied with a below par performance and strives to do well all the time.
Ego acts like a hurdle when one tries to develop a positive relationship with another person. It also stops one from saying sorry to another person as ego gets hurt in the process. Ego is self intoxicating and you provide it nourishment every time you think of yourself as superior than others. A bloated or super sized ego is harmful for a person as he can never adjust with others thinking all the time about his superiority.
Ego is therefore an unhealthy pride that leads to arrogance. Pride on the other hand is a feeling of pleasure and joy. It is a sense of accomplishment that tends to bring humility in a person. You must have noticed how humble those who achieve everything in their field become. Ego gives one a swollen head while pride gives a swollen heart. A big head is always a problem as it gives big headaches whereas a big heart gives nothing but humility.
While ego is self admiration, pride is self satisfaction.

What is an EGO?
According to an Austrian neurologist, known as the founding father of psychoanalysis Sigmund Freud (1856-1939), the ego is part of personality that mediates the demands of the id, the superego and reality. The ego prevents us from acting on our basic urges (created by the id), but also works to achieve a balance with our moral and idealistic standards (created by the superego). While the ego operates in both the preconscious and conscious, it's strong ties to the id means that it also operates in the unconscious.
The ego operates based on the reality principle, which works to satisfy the id's desires in a manner that is realistic and socially appropriate. For example, if a person cuts you off in traffic, the ego prevents you from chasing down the car and physically attacking the offending driver. The ego allows us to see that this response would be socially unacceptable, but it also allows us to know that there are other more appropriate means of venting our frustration.
"Anger is the enemy of non-violence and pride is a monster that swallows it up."
- Mahatma Gandhi
What is a Pride?
As per the Power Vs Force book by Dr David Hawkins there are different Level of Human Consciouness that ranges from Shame to Enlighment, scoring from 1 to 1000. According to him, Pride is at the Level of 175 out of 1000 which said:
Level 175: Pride
The level of pride is something that most people aspire to. It’s socially encouraged. We’re told we should take pride in our work, accomplishments, and material objects. Compared to the lower levels, pride feels great. It certainly beats the depression and hopelessness found in Shame and Apathy. However, pride is still below the crucial level of 200. It is still weak, and thus is related to force rather than true power.
Pride is a weakness because it can so easily transform into any of the lower levels. If a prideful businessman suddenly loses all his money, he could easily go through Anger, Fear, and end up at Apathy, completely losing touch with what he based his life around. Pride comes from associating ones self with things that don’t really matter.
Although pride feels good at first, it is ultimately foolish. Religious wars are often a function of pride. It lacks the unification of the higher levels, instead being based on the egoistic need to be better than someone or something else.
When I search the meaning for EGO in Nepal I found that says, cxd, hLjfTdf
Meaning for PRIDE is
3d08, uj{, z]vL, cledfg, cxdTofOF, zfg, /f]a, wfs, cfj, tds, t'h's, lbdfu, ddtf, udsfO, cxGtf, l6/L{, 6]s, dft, cledlt, cxd, t]h, d]v, dfbÙ -lqm=_ -sd{st[{ jfRo_ 3d08 lng

To sum up, knowing the real meaning of these two words neither it is good to say I'm proud to be.............is good nor to be an Egoistic for healthy personal growth and development because that hinder our FREE thoughts in seeing and analysing the situations in 360 degrees to move for the betterment of self and the world for humanity.

Sex and Power: Defining History, Shaping Societies in India

I always wonder WHY girls and women are very much devotee towards religious ritual activities in a daily basis worshiping image gods and goddesses. Out of too many gods and goddesses in our society in Nepal being dominated by Hindu religion mainly people worship Lord Shiva, who is considered god of destroyer. Generally, in Hindu temples we see statue of man-made gods and goddesses but it was so interesting to see in the temples and also watch in
television and movie people worshiping black standing image in the name of Lord Shiva, which is known as Shiva Linga. I was always wondering to learn what's this image called Shiva Linga symbolized and Why people are not worshiping Lord Shiva statue instead worship Shiva Linga.
Then at the age of around 30 when I went to Pashupatinath Temple, famous Hindu temple in Kathmandu I decided to look upon what is exactly remain inside the temple that people worship. Surprisingly I noticed that the same Linga image people are worshiping crazily. Besides, in the premises of the temple as well there are 180 small black stone Shiva Linga. Then analyzing and rationalizing thinking deeply and critically I got to understand that "Okay, Shiva means "Lord Shiva" and Linga means his Penis standing upon Parvati, Lord Shiva's wife "Yoni" (Vulva).
Gosh! I could not even imagine how ignorant and innocent people are blindly to worship the Penis image thinking that it is a GOD.
I started to question to myself, if general innocent and ignorance mass and women being blind in mind devotees for an archaic Indian sage sitting in the forest cave conceived image of GOD compelling everyone to worship the "PENIS" in the name of "Shiva Linga" then what we can anticipate in male mind wondering, except the SEX. I couldn't even imagine this can be done in the name of god and religion by an ancient India sages promoting sex, sex trade and prostitution in India and Nepal in the name of God and religion.
Indeed! is so-interesting to read a book titled "Sex and Power Defining History, Shaping Societies" published in 2008 written by an Indian author, environmentalist, writer and scientist Rita Banerji, It is interesting to learn from the book that since the ancient time Indian priests and sages had promoted sexual attitude and behavior in the society, writing so-called holy scripture called "Kama Sutra". Kama Sutra is an ancient Indian Hindu text widely considered to be the standard work on human sexual behavior in Sanskrit literature written by Vātsyāyana. A portion of the work consists of practical advice on sexual intercourse. It is largely in prose, with many inserted anustubh poetry verses. "Kāma" which is one of the three goals of Hindu life, means sensual gratification or sexual desire, pleasure, sexual fulfillment, or eros, but can more broadly mean desire, wish, passion, longing, pleasure of the senses, the aesthetic enjoyment of life, affection, or love, without sexual connotations, and "sūtra" literally means a thread or line that holds things together, and more metaphorically refers to an aphorism (or line, rule, formula), or a collection of such aphorisms in the form of a manual. http://intersections.anu.edu.au/issue22/isozaki_review.htm ; without knowing the root cause of the problems only if we are barking to STOP prostitution, girls trafficking for prostitution/sex trade, Gendercide, Female Genocide, Female Feticide, Rape, Sexual Violence, etc it is make any sense.
After learning detail about an ancient Indian as well as modern Indian societies i.e. from Vedic society to current Democratic society from Rita Banerji book that has been divided in the following IV chapters that have critically analyse the situation why, when, where and how sexual life and its related politics have been shaped in Hindu society to Genocide women in controlling over there freedom.
Part I-The Vedic Period: Sex as a Sacred Duty;
Part II-The Buddhist Period: Sex as a Prison;
Part III-The Golden Period: Sex as Salvation;
Part IV-The Colonial Period: Sex as Shame; and
Part V-The Democratic Period: A Sexual Paradox.
Everyone who wish to establish just society should go through this book to explore the hidden factors that is defining our society and societal mindset.
The author, Rita Benerji herself has started her campaign known as The 50 Million Missing in 2006 to fight and control any mishap to girls and women in India and globally in relation to sexual bad conduct promoted in the name of god and religion.

For and Against Federalism in Nepal

Nepal became a Federal Democratic Republic in 2007 as per the aspiration of people movements. On 28 December 2007, a bill was passed in parliament to amend Article 159 of the constitution – replacing "Provisions regarding the King" by "Provisions of the Head of the State" – declaring Nepal a federal republic, and thereby abolishing the monarchy [1].

I am neither in favour nor against Federalism because Federalism has its own essence. However, it is very interesting to know that indigenous (Janajati), terai/plain belt people (Madheshi) and Maoist are strongly supporting for Federalism in Nepal. However, mostly higher-castes (Bahun/Chhetri) people, politicians from UML Community Party of Nepal, Nepali Congress and others political parites such as Kamala Thapa, Chitra Bahadur Budathoki are against federalism.

People of so-called higher caste says, that "Sangihiyata Le Desh Lut Chha" (Federalism can loot the nation), and to ask for Federalism is Fool. My question to them is whether Federalism going to loot nation or our existing politicians who are blind devotees of India loosting the nation.

Gosh! what a prejudice mindset these some people have. WHY don't they open their blocked and prejudice mindset. Please guys OPEN your eyes and try to see the facts. Do you know when Sugauli treaty has been signed and sold Nepal natural properities? ONLY you guys think I'm the best and others are worse, my logic is great and others are degrade!!! I don't understand WHY even literate people can't think independently and discuss logically to give up the right direction to the nation so that everyone can feel that they've been respected and their issues have been address by the state. I could even imagine that even most of the highly literate people from higher castes living in the federal states like Australia, Canada, Germany, USA, etc are against in going for the identity based federal states in Nepal.

One of the guy having fake profile ID "Poemis Kabita" in his facebook profile "About" mentioned that "संघियता नेपालको लागि मृत्यु सरह हो भन्ने मेरो दृढ बिश्वास हो।" in English it reads "I strongly believe that Federalism is like inviting death to Nepal). In the facebook group named "संघीयताको विषयमा खुल्ला बहस" that has member more than 6500 he posted:

in which members of the group who are concerned about the topic had shared their logic.

Staying in the Federal country, Austrlaia I'm also learning WHAT actually Federalism is and WHY Nepalese politicians have brought this issue in the context of Nepal. I came to know that Federalism is a political concept in which a group of members are bound together by covenant with a governing representative head. The term "federalism" is also used to describe a system of government in which sovereignty is constitutionally divided between a central governing authority and constituent political units (such as states or provinces). Federalism is a system based upon democratic rules and institutions in which the power to govern is shared between national and provincial/state governments, creating what is often called a federation. And across the world USA, Canada, India, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Russia, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union are Federal states.

If we are against FEDERALISM then What would be the BEST option to address the power centralisation at KATHMANDU. I am raising this point because in Nepal decentralization was adopted as Nepalese government policy in the 3rd Plan period (1965-70) to associate and involve the people in the decision-making process with specific reference to planning and development at the local level. Since then, this has been followed as a development strategy by the country. Currently, local bodies (LBs) exercise and manage local development activities per the Local Self Governance Act (LSGA), 1999 and Local Self Governance Regulations (LSGR), 1999, Local Body (Financial Administration) Regulations 2007 as well as other related rules and operational manuals [2].
BUT failed to address the people aspiration and decentralisation of POWER at the local level.

Women status during Vedic society

It is interesting to know that during Vedic period women status seems much better than current Hindu society of India and Nepal since woman has been designated with 34 qualities and were respected accordingly I suppose.

During vedic period, the Rig Veda is the only scripture among those of all religions in which the Divine Truths are revealed to women sages also and in which hymns describing the revelations, like those by the women sage Vak Ambrini find a prominent place in the Rig Veda Samhitā like the hymn (Rig Veda, 10.125) (tenth mandala, 125 sūkta or hymn). There are more than thirty women sages in Rig Veda with specific hymns associated with them. In all the Semitic religions like Christianity, Islam etc., there is no mention of any revelation to women and no woman is listed among the prominent disciples of the founders or prophets of those religions. However, the Rig Veda states that the lady should her own husband (Rig Veda, 10.27.12) and the marriage hymn states that the daughter-in-law should be treated as a queen, samrajni, by all the family members especially the mother-in-law, husband, father-in-law (Rig Veda 10.15). The bride was exhorted to address the assembly:

Rig Veda 10.85.26: .....Become the house-hold's mistress; Ruler of the home, you will address the religious assembly.
